Here are two courses for A1 students (levels 2-3) and A2 students (levels 4-6) where the focus is on speaking as we cover some of the essential topics for travel such as accommodation, restaurants, shopping and transport.

    A1 (levels 2-3) available over 3 or 5-weeks

    Learn the communicative Spanish skills to use straight away in everyday practical situations

    • Essential phrases: greetings and farewells; asking basic information.
    • Transports and schedules: timetables, arrivals and departures, prices.
    • Getting around the city: vocabulary, location and directions.
    • Accommodation: vocabulary used at hotels, apartments and additional services.
    • At the restaurant (food and menus): vocabulary, ordering, enquiring and booking a table.
    • Shopping: vocabulary about souvenirs, clothes and daily products and asking for things and their prices.
    • Entertainment: vocabulary about free time activities, going to the tourist office and enquiring about museums, performances and trips (timetables, prices and useful information).
    • At the doctor: vocabulary about health and illness, going to the hospital and expressing symptoms.

    A2 (levels 4-6) available over 3 or 5-weeks

    Advance your communicative skills and confidence in dealing with everyday situations

    •  Converse with people: introduce yourself; seek information
    • Transports and schedules: taxi, bus, trains, planes; timetables and prices
    • Getting around the city: expanded vocabulary, location and directions (using the imperative)
    • Accommodation: hotels and renting apartments
    • At the restaurant (food and menus): vocabulary, ordering, enquiring and booking a table
    • Shopping: buying clothes
    • Entertainment: vocabulary about free time activities, going to the tourist office and enquiring about museums, performances and trips (timetables, prices and useful information)
    • At the doctor and the pharmacy: vocabulary about health and illness, going to the hospital and expressing symptoms; buying medicines in the pharmacy
