"¡Hola chicos! I am Paula, and I come from the wonderful city of Madrid!
I hold a BA (Hons) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a postgraduate in teaching Spanish as a foreign language certified by Roehampton University and Instituto Cervantes. I completed my MA in September 2016 at Kings College London and I am also a PhD candidate at the Open University.
Since completing my degree, I have sought to keep increasing my knowledge of linguistics and communication. I fully appreciate the importance of learning a language and the value it brings to both job and leisure opportunities. For this reason I love teaching at Vamos and developing dynamic and communicative activities where everyone feels welcome and confident. I am also a firm supporter of introducing debate and different contents in the class, so that students can improve their language skills while discussing interesting and current topics.
I love working at Vamos because staff and students have both created a big family. Why don’t you come and join! See you soon at Vamos!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part two of the Elementary A2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

I really enjoyed the course with Andrea. The pace of the classes was right for the level so she allowed us to move on when we understood but spent sufficient time on each activity (allowing us to understand). I also really enjoyed that in every class we had the opportunity to speak.
Really good classes. Jessica is very kind and takes time to meet everyone’s needs. I learned a lot and hope to consolidate it further. The workbooks are good with different activities.
I really enjoy coming to Spanish classes at Vamos. Andrea makes the classes fun and interactive. Level 3 definitely challenges you a lot, but I can tell that I am consistently improving in Spanish.
For anyone looking to learn Spanish, Vamos Let’s Learn Spanish is 100% the way to go. I cannot speak highly enough of the course and the way it is managed by the fabulous team at Vamos. I signed up to classes in Holborn and the team have adapted brilliantly to the changing situation and introduced Zoom to provide the classes online. It’s fantastic! Super-interactive and a new, innovative and still very fun way of learning. I will probably continue with the online classes in to the future. The Vamos team are always on hand to answer any queries and are incredibly responsive and helpful. I love the course content and the way in which it is delivered by the brilliant teachers. Looking forward to continuing my Spanish speaking journey with Vamos. Muchas gracias!!
The programme is very good, the method is very effective and Alberto is a very good teacher. Thank you!
As usual Clara made me more comfortable despite the fact I have been a terrible student. I found the method very efficient. The interaction with the other students is what I really need as I don’t really have time to study at home.
Motivating. I’ve done another course a long time ago and didn’t feel like attending class. I look forward to Spanish on Wednesday! Very manageable, so fun and I look forward to the next level.
I thought the course moved at a great pace and working through activities in class really helped with remembering words and grammar. Ruth is an excellent teacher who is always happy to explain anything to the class.
Great teacher and learnt a lot of subjunctive tense
