"¡Hola chicos! I am Paula, and I come from the wonderful city of Madrid!
I hold a BA (Hons) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a postgraduate in teaching Spanish as a foreign language certified by Roehampton University and Instituto Cervantes. I completed my MA in September 2016 at Kings College London and I am also a PhD candidate at the Open University.
Since completing my degree, I have sought to keep increasing my knowledge of linguistics and communication. I fully appreciate the importance of learning a language and the value it brings to both job and leisure opportunities. For this reason I love teaching at Vamos and developing dynamic and communicative activities where everyone feels welcome and confident. I am also a firm supporter of introducing debate and different contents in the class, so that students can improve their language skills while discussing interesting and current topics.
I love working at Vamos because staff and students have both created a big family. Why don’t you come and join! See you soon at Vamos!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part two of the Elementary A2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

The course is fab, Amaya is a fantastic teacher and I really enjoy my course I would recommend Vamos completely, it’s a great learning experience that is nothing like school!
Fantastic – really impressed. Paula brought a huge amount of enthusiasm and encouragement to every session. The pace was the right level for me – challenging but encouraging in that there was enough time to repeat and revise what we had learned to consolidate and make it stick!
Enrique is very good at making students speak in classes and in making our Spanish sound more like every day talking rather than textbook speaking. He pays attention to each student and has personal recommendations for each of us. His classes are easy going and fun.
Really enjoyed it! Great teacher and fantastic learning environment. Very sad that it has ended.
Will recommend the school!
I really enjoyed the course and learnt a lot.
I really enjoyed level 2 and am looking forward to level 3.
The classes were good fun and small enough to be able to get involved in the group conversations. The class was an enjoyable way to learn Spanish and I would definitely recommend it.
Excellent programme and teacher. Never made to feel stupid or that questions were stupid. Very patient.
Well put together with lessons and homework explained clearly. The course is a good starting point and I will be carrying into the next level. I especially like the monthly conversation class. It is excellent practise and something not offered by other schools. It is great to get to know the other students more and eat delicious tapas too!!!
