"¡Hola! My name is also Alba and I come from Valencia!
I hold a degree in Spanish Studies (Universitat de València) and I am currently studying a Master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language at Universitat de Barcelona. I have been teaching Spanish in an immersion context in Valencia for one and half years and I previously taught Spanish in Tallinn (Estonia) as a part of an internship.
I am an enthusiastic and inspiring language teacher who loves sharing her passion about the Spanish language and our culture. Teaching languages is a beautiful job because it works towards building bridges between people and cultures.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students getting to know each other through Spanish and gaining the confidence to communicate in the language and learn about Spanish and Latin American culture.
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part one of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Best Spanish learning experience I have had (and I have tried loads from other courses to language apps). The course moved at the right pace – introducing new concepts and reinforcing them over the course so that they stick without overdoing them and becoming boring. Paula explained everything exceptionally well.
Well structured, very professional! Fun and engaging – I enjoyed turning up to class every week and look forward to continuing with the course. Great teacher!
Love the exercises as you have to participate and practice. Clara helps us a lot to relax and participate. Love it!!!
Paula was excellent. She is a very patient teacher and always very positive. She created a positive learning environment every day. She remained enthusiastic and allowed me to make mistakes, never making me disappointed in myself. The course is intense but Paula broke it down step by step.
Teacher was very good. Good mix of activities. Very good I would recommend / come back again and I am slightly sad I can’t continue with level 2 as going away. I am starting to feel things clicking together.
Yaiza is a fantastic teacher – she has energy and patience. She is also aware of how quickly each student picks up certain aspects of the course – and for anyone struggling she will dedicate more time to a specific exercise without making the rest of the class feel disengaged – she encourages everyone to participate in a very positive way.
Very interactive but getting much more challenging, meaning it is necessary to keep on top of work and prepare for lessons! Very good set of teachers so even cover lessons are of a high standard!
The program ensures that with an optimum level of effort the student gains solid foundations. The class was well taught as Andrea blended seriousness, pedagogy and fun.
I like the programme! Good materials, much attention from Clara; possible to check what happened in class if I miss a lesson. Definitely, I am going to continue.
