Whether you’re learning Spanish for the first time or you’re returning after a break our short 5-week courses are a great way to get you talking.
Come to our school at Jubilee Place or connect on line from your desk or home.
Each of our courses is structured around an official ‘ELE’ book (Español como lengua extranjera – the term used for Spanish as a Foreign Language), which together with a specially compiled set of resources we call a ‘libro de actividades’ gives our teachers a unified framework and makes our lessons rewarding and so much fun.
Beginner 1
I have never studied Spanish before or if I have I still need to learn how to conjugate regular verbs in the present tense and when to use the verbs “ser” and “estar” and differentiate between “tú” and “usted”.
Beginner 2
Now I need to learn about irregular, reflexive and stem-changing verbs and how to conjugate the verb “gustar” and similar verbs. I also need to learn how to conjugate verbs in the past tense and the difference between the verbs “saber” and “conocer”.
Elementary
I need to learn the past tenses “Pretérito Perfecto” and “Pretérito Imperfecto” as well as Pronouns (mío, tuyo, suyo, etc), Objeto Directo (lo, la, los, las) and Objeto Indirecto (me, te, le, nos, os, les).
Intermediate
I need to consolidate all the past tenses and learn about future tenses and I have never studied (or I need to study again) the present tense subjunctive.
Upper Intermediate
I am confident with all of the above and now I’m ready to start learning about past tense subjunctive.
