"¡Hola a todos! I'm Victoria from Gijón, a coastal city in the north of Spain.
I have a degree in Philology and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language, which I obtained at the University of Oviedo. I also have a Master's degree in Teaching obtained at the University of Salamanca.
I have taught Spanish for several years in China, where I worked as an official DELE examiner for A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels at the Cervantes Institute.
I think learning a language is not only about memorising grammar or vocabulary, but enjoying it and having fun while you discover a new world. That's the reason I make communicative and enjoyable classes where students become confident in their skills and share their knowledge.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at Vamos and starting a new adventure together!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part three of the Elementary A2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course with an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Andrea is an excellent teacher. I really enjoy it!
Thoroughly enjoyable and taught in a friendly, inclusive and enthusiastic manner. I would definitely recommend if you are new to a language or want to build on your existing knowledge.
Great course and a great teacher. Lots of interactive activities, helping you to speak, write and read Spanish. Covers lots of areas, in manageable chunks.
The program is extremely well-design. With a mix of speaking-listening-writing, I feel that I am learning gradually and gaining a further interest in the language.
I thought the standard of teaching was excellent way beyond my expectations. The teacher was enthusiastic, patient and passed that enthusiasm to everyone in the class. I learned a lot.
As with level one I thought it was fantastic. Andi is a wonderful teacher with great energy and a knack for making the lessons fun and the language approachable.
Overall I really enjoyed this course. Amaya is a great teacher, very involved gets all the class to participate and is a fun class
If it was possible not to give a single star in order to post a review, I would have opted for that. This is a fraud of a company, and the obnoxiously rude and contemptuous Director, Russell Collins, is a disgrace to mankind, let alone in charge of an institute that aims to impart some kind of knowledge. He has lied and misled led – in effect STOLEN from me after encouraging me over the phone and mails that I can restart my course at a later stage.I never get my refund of any kind, and I never get put on a different course. I am seeking legal advise at this stage. Disgraceful! Russell Collins should be ashamed and this company banned.
Great course, great teacher. I had zero Spanish and after the intensive week I feel like I have an excellent foundation. I’m ready to learn more! I’ll definitely be back!
