"¡Hola a todos! I'm Victoria from Gijón, a coastal city in the north of Spain.
I have a degree in Philology and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language, which I obtained at the University of Oviedo. I also have a Master's degree in Teaching obtained at the University of Salamanca.
I have taught Spanish for several years in China, where I worked as an official DELE examiner for A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels at the Cervantes Institute.
I think learning a language is not only about memorising grammar or vocabulary, but enjoying it and having fun while you discover a new world. That's the reason I make communicative and enjoyable classes where students become confident in their skills and share their knowledge.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at Vamos and starting a new adventure together!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
I can describe Hispanic foods from around the world. I can compare different festivals and celebrations. I can write about eating habits, special meals and favourite festivals. I can talk about meal times and order from a menu. I can discuss job preferences and how to earn money. I can talk about my work experience and the importance of learning. I can write a formal letter and recount work experience in the past and express future plans. When I talk about work experience I use the ‘preterite’ and the imperfect together. I can use the present and present continuous, use ‘saber’ and ‘conocer’. When I discuss my plans for the future I use the subjunctive with ‘cuando’ and the conditional. I can effectively use my grammar knowledge in translations. I can recognise and use idioms.
The course was very good, I’m constantly impressed with the teachers ability to adapt to online learning and use the new tools available to them there! Great course 🙂 Heidi Ashby for Paula Lasnon level 3
I had the pleasure of learning Spanish with Joan Moar from Level 2 to Level 6 and I have only positive things to say about my instructor and lessons! Joan was the perfect instructor for me and gets an A+ rating! He is an excellent teacher: Professional, knowledgeable of the Spanish language & culture, personable, responsible, kind, and patient! He really helped me to improve speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish, as well as to learn more verb tenses, vocabulary, and to become comfortable conversing about everyday life in Spanish. Even after my lessons were moved online due to the pandemic, Joan was still able to make every lesson immersive and challenging. I am so grateful for the opportunity you gave me to help further my Spanish language learning! It was truly a great experience taking lessons from Joan and I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn or improve their Spanish.
I thoroughly enjoyed this level 1 introduction to Spanish and our teacher Paula was very encouraging and clear.
