"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part three of the Intermediate B1 syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Excellent course. Andrea is a very good teacher and really helpful. Loved variety in class and exercises.
Great teacher; lively course.
I like coming to the class and enjoy the way Andrea is teaching. Even though I don’t study enough at home, I feel like my Spanish has improved a lot since starting the course.
I think Amalia is an excellent teacher. She is able to judge the level of students, help us when necessary, but she also gives us challenging things to do. I am confident that the materials and notes I have put me in a good position to move to the next level of classes.
I really enjoyed this course; Andrea is as always fantastic with her teaching and very helpful. I loved the fact that we got to do more speaking exercises! Extremely happy as usual! 🙂
The course provided a great introduction and foundation to learning Spanish.
Firstly I would like to say Andrea is an excellent teacher, who works very hard to keep the tempo of the classes to a good level.
I found the class to be rewarding but at times felt the pace was slower than I would like, but fully appreciate this is based on the class and not in Andrea´s hands.
I thought the standard of teaching was excellent way beyond my expectations. The teacher was enthusiastic, patient and passed that enthusiasm to everyone in the class. I learned a lot.
Another good course which was taught excellently by Ruth. As before she was very patient with us ad made the lessons engaging and interesting. Thank you!
