"!Hola a todos! I am Cristina from Madrid!
I started teaching when I was 17 and loved it so much I haven’t done much else since! Everything that followed has focused my career on this path.
I have a degree in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and one in Linguistics and Literature. I also have a certificate in Teaching Spanish to Adults from Instituto Cervantes and Roehampton University and QTS in the UK.
I believe learning a language should be fun and useful, which is what I try to convey in my lessons and why I like to bring tasks from the real world into my class."

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part two of the Intermediate B1 syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Great teacher and organization of school. Materials and support are great. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to learn Spanish.
Very well devised, each topic flowed well into the next. Very well delivered, patient and excellent teacher! See you next year!
The programme gave me a really good grounding in terms of vocabulary and grammar. Ruth is a great teacher who clearly puts a lot of time and effort into preparing and executing her lessons. Her classes and activities were fun and engaging, and importantly, really helped what we had learned to sink in.
Exactly what I was looking for in a beginners Spanish course. Good flexibility in that if you miss a class you can catch up on another day. Useful summary of the lesson sent each week by Amaya.
I have enjoyed learning Spanish with Carol, who is an inspiring and fun teacher. The learning environment is fun and I have learnt a great deal in a short space of time. Overall an excellent course.
Really good – especially the existence of catch up lessons and the monthly tapas.
I loved it! Thanks, Andi! You are a great teacher! You are the best Spanish teacher!
Enjoyable. Exercises encouraged involvement and interaction. Andi is very engaging and enthusiastic which helps.
Another great level, I have been coming since level 1 and I have always been very happy! Carolina is a fantastic teacher, who has a brilliant style. She is always hugely helpful in her descriptions and methods. I have just got back from Spain and was really happy that I could use everything I had learnt in conversation! Roll on level 7!
