"Hola! Qué tal? I am Paula from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I have a degree from the University of Barcelona for teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have worked in language institutes and French International Schools in Dubai and Hong Kong and I like my lessons to be interesting, fun and practical!
Learning a new language has to adapt to your needs to communicate, so to me the most important is to get you speaking Spanish from day one. That’s why creating the right atmosphere in class is key for everyone to feel relaxed and willing to participate.
I look forward to having the opportunity to help you learn, not only the language but also some of the culture that comes along.
See you soon at Vamos!!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part one of the Intermediate B1 syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 5 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
So much fun and we learnt a lot in a short time! Carmen is an excellent teacher and made classes very interesting. Looking forward to returning in the fall!
This program has been great. I have learnt a lot over the 10 weeks. The pace of the classes has been perfect and I have made a lot of progress. Diana has been an awesome teacher – really appreciate the range of activities adopted to help develop vocabulary and fluency in the language at this level.
I think Isabel is a great teacher! She has a teaching gift and explains everything so it is easily understood! She always answers all questions and makes everything easier for us. Big thank you!! Love her lessons.
I found the program fun and interactive and it has given me a really good foundation. The conversation classes and tapas evenings are a really good idea and a great opportunity to meet people across other courses and levels.
Very good on the whole. Feel like I’ve learnt a lot in the five weeks, especially grammar.
I enjoy the Spanish course very much – this is not just because how it is designed but also because of the skills and kind/cheerful personality of our teacher. As a group of students I think we should practice more at home because the learning has to be active.
Great course, really enjoyed it. Ruth is fantastic and makes it fun to learn. It even makes me get up early on a Saturday! Thank you Ruth!
1. Teaching method is really good.
2. The support and email was extremely useful.
3. Homework – learnt so much.
This review only got one star as it was not possible to give zero stars.
I took a weeks annual leave to enrol in a one week Spanish course only to be emailed on the DAY the course was due to start to be told it had been cancelled. I have not only wasted a weeks annual leave but have also lost the money for a weekly travel card which cost me 50 quid. Appalling service.
