"¡Hola chicos! I am Paula, and I come from the wonderful city of Madrid!
I hold a BA (Hons) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a postgraduate in teaching Spanish as a foreign language certified by Roehampton University and Instituto Cervantes. I completed my MA in September 2016 at Kings College London and I am also a PhD candidate at the Open University.
Since completing my degree, I have sought to keep increasing my knowledge of linguistics and communication. I fully appreciate the importance of learning a language and the value it brings to both job and leisure opportunities. For this reason I love teaching at Vamos and developing dynamic and communicative activities where everyone feels welcome and confident. I am also a firm supporter of introducing debate and different contents in the class, so that students can improve their language skills while discussing interesting and current topics.
I love working at Vamos because staff and students have both created a big family. Why don’t you come and join! See you soon at Vamos!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part three of the Elementary A2 syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Fran is a star. She´s so fun and nice and never makes you feel stupid. Issues with rooms could be sorted out, but overall still happy with Vamos in general.
Yaiza is a fantastic teacher – she has energy and patience. She is also aware of how quickly each student picks up certain aspects of the course – and for anyone struggling she will dedicate more time to a specific exercise without making the rest of the class feel disengaged – she encourages everyone to participate in a very positive way.
I found it really enjoyable and the tasks and activities were always fun and varied. Elena is a great teacher and I wish I could continue this class – I am travelling for a few weeks but hope to return to Vamos in January!
I have really enjoyed learning Spanish with Amaya as she makes the lessons fun and enjoyable. I ‘m looking forward to progressing in this course with Amaya.
Fantastic teaching – Enric’s lessons are always varied and interesting. A really enjoyable way to learn Spanish quickly and effectively.
It´s great that the lessons help absorb more effectively. It gives/ provides a stepping-stone to start learning Spanish and provides solid guidance. I have learned so much from the past 10 lessons. Thank you!!!
I really enjoyed the programme. I like that the focus is on speaking and that we are interactive. The classes are small so there is plenty of opportunity to practice and no hiding!
Finished level 4, still enjoying it and getting better at speaking and comprehension. I like Amaya as a person and wouldn’t want to change my teacher. I like her style of teaching. She is always speaking Spanish to us, which helps a lot to practice and develop language skills further.
The course was really fun! The teacher was very helpful, optimistic and bubbly which made the experience very enjoyable, useful and memorable. The lesson summary emails were very helpful too.
