"¡Hola! I´m Carolina from Madrid, the “heart of Spain” although I was born in Barcelona!
I have a Degree in English Studies, specialising in Language and Literature and I also have a PGCE (CAP Certificate).
After finishing my University studies in Spain I qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK and since then I have been teaching Spanish for more than 12 years.
I really enjoy sharing my knowledge of the language with people from all over the world and I hope you will enjoy my lessons at Vamos!!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part two of the Elementary A2 syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Fantastic teacher, very engaging, good pace and structure to the classes.
I came into the course with a limited vocabulary and really feel I have made progress in actually being able to converse in Spanish. I’ve really enjoyed it and look forward to the class every week. I am definitely continuing to the next level!
The course covered different aspects which were interesting to learn as everything was varied week by week.
I found it quite difficult but it is definitely getting easier. The course was well laid out and provided lots of information and exercises. I like Enric’s methods of teaching and he describes things in a great way.
– Very interactive with a lot of engagement in conversation in class.
– The teacher is very cheerful and encouraging
– A lot of Spanish spoken in class.
I liked the way it was organised – a summary of the class at the beginning, the games and the way you could read the resume of the class afterwards and do the homework. The ‘catch up’ system works well. It was fun!
The classes are interesting and fun. Ruth is very friendly and an excellent teacher who is willing to repeat things over and over again; she is very patient.
This is my first language course so unfortunately I don’t have a previous class to use as a comparison. That said I’d been very impressed with the quality of the teachers, materials and the level of service.
I thought Jessica was great – very patient and fun. I really enjoyed her class.
