"¡Hola! I’m Sonia, from Córdoba, a beautiful historical city in the south of Spain.
I hold a BA in English Studies, an MA in Linguistics and another Master’s Degree in Education. I also have a course from the Instituto Cervantes in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
I started teaching in my first year of university and I haven’t stopped since then. It makes 12 years now. I love teaching because it allows me to participate in something as important as the learning process of amazing individuals.
When I teach, I always try to cause, what I call, “the awe effect of your personal achievements”, which appears when you realise you are learning, understanding and producing more Spanish than you expected. I love making everyone feel comfortable and active in class, making you have fun while learning, and going home with that feeling of a satisfactory evening.
I hope to see you soon in class! ¡Hasta pronto!"

This is the first course in our A2 Elementary levels 4-6. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks aimed at students who have already completed A1 levels 1, 2 and 3. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Enjoyed the course, found that it was the right level. Fiamma is an AMAZING teacher. I don’t think I would have felt as engaged or enthusiastic about learning Spanish without her!
As a whole, the program was good, we learnt a lot of new, useful things, there was enough grammar and speaking activities. It didn’t meet my objectives because of myself. I still don’t remember everything I should. ¡Gracias!
It has been a great course with a friendly teaching method for an interactive class. I think I needed to learn more vocabulary as I felt the other students knew a lot more than me. Maybe I need a list of vocab before the lesson and after. I did try to study Spanish in Australia but I didn’t go back after the first lesson, but I will be back for level 2. Thank you :))
