"¡Hola! I´m Carolina from Madrid, the “heart of Spain” although I was born in Barcelona!
I have a Degree in English Studies, specialising in Language and Literature and I also have a PGCE (CAP Certificate).
After finishing my University studies in Spain I qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK and since then I have been teaching Spanish for more than 12 years.
I really enjoy sharing my knowledge of the language with people from all over the world and I hope you will enjoy my lessons at Vamos!!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is the final part of our A1 course and prepares students for the Elementary A2. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks aimed at students who have already completed A1 levels 1 and 2. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Andrea is a young, vibrant teacher who makes the class interesting, interactive and enjoyable.
I really enjoyed this course; Andrea is as always fantastic with her teaching and very helpful. I loved the fact that we got to do more speaking exercises! Extremely happy as usual! 🙂
Very good as usual. Amaya managed to keep me awake and focused after a very long flight back to London. Good class activities. Informative posts and funny videos! I would recommend Amaya to anyone.
I thought we covered a lot of subjects in this level. I found it very useful and feel I learnt a lot. Good course, great teacher!
I really enjoyed it and I’m definitely continuing with Patricia into another level. Great school, I’ve learned a lot during these 10 weeks. I’m really looking forward to completing all the levels with our lovely Patricia!
I thought the programme and teaching was exceptional. The classes were interactive and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Will be doing level 2 for sure. 🙂
Diana is an excellent teacher and makes classes fun and interesting. I have always looked forward to her classes even after a long day at work. I didn’t use them, but catch-up classes are a good idea + help flexibility. Pace of classes was good. Amount of homework was generally good – sometimes wouldn’t have minded more!
An enjoyable informal way to learn Spanish.
Great teaching throughout the term once again. We’ve covered a lot of topics, vocabulary and grammar. I can really see the improvement and am starting to feel more confident to formulate proper sentences and (try to!) have a conversation.
