"¡Hola! I’m Andrea from Bilbao, in the north of Spain!
I have a 4-year degree in Spanish Studies from the University of Deusto, which covered linguistics, literature, grammar and the history of the Spanish language and I later qualified as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
I am an official DELE examiner (awarded by Institute Cervantes, London) for levels A1 to C2 and since joining Vamos in September 2012, I am also one of the school's academic managers where part of my responsibilities includes the recruitment and training of new teachers.
My teaching style places particular emphasis on the communicative approach and I always want my students to get the most out of their lesson.
I love teaching so much that it hardly feels like a job and I hope you enjoy your course at ¡Vamos!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part two of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish. It’s a 20 hour course over 2 weeks aimed at students who have completed level 1. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Amaya made the course in my view. The lessons were fun and interactive, involving everyone in the class from day 1. I think the additional speaking class helps with revision and is a great social.
Excellent introduction – at the end of the first five weeks I feel able to hold a basic conversation in Spanish. Very much looking forward to level 2. Thank you!
Very good, interesting and fun classes! Especially like the fact that Amaya tells us extra tips and information so we understand the concepts.
Amalia moves fast, she is a great teacher and a lovely person, which really helps. The class towards the end started moving a little fast for me but only because work commitments left me with little time outside of class to practice, I only just managed to make every class and complete every homework. I will be back for sure. Just not sure when due to work.
The program and teachers were great I just wish that in my hectic life I had the time to really soak in completely everything I was taught in the previous lesson. However, Andrea is an excellent teacher which made everything easier to lean, adaptable in every way.
Have really enjoyed it. The teachers are very friendly and helpful. The conversational classes are a really good idea and it has a really good social aspect to it.
Good to know more into the grammar and learn more ways to express opinions, etc. There was lots of conversation in class. Elena is a fantastic teacher and adds lots of interesting content to the lessons about Spanish culture.
I really enjoyed the programme. I like that the focus is on speaking and that we are interactive. The classes are small so there is plenty of opportunity to practice and no hiding!
Excellent programme. Fun lessons and Isabel is a great teacher. The free conversation class is a nice bonus and beneficial for speaking and meeting other students.
