Your Teacher

"Hola! I am Lola from the small city of Ávila in central Spain.

I studied at the University of Salamanca and I am currently completing a Masters Degree in Spanish Teaching. I have QTS status and have been a secondary languages teacher in London for four years.

I follow a communicative approach that enables students to practice their speaking skills as well as learning about my own Spanish culture as well.

I have lived in five different countries and love learning and teaching languages because for me it's about getting to know about different cultures and having fun in each lesson. I am passionate about sharing my language and culture with you, so I hope you enjoy the lessons as much as I do!

¡Hasta luego!"

About Us

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.

More about this course

This is part two of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks aimed at students who have  completed level 1. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.

We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
