"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course forms part two of the Upper Intermediate B2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Found it a really good course, with a good mix of activities, group work and writing. The teacher was excellent, very patient and explained things well.
The 5 week course is clearly going to be a lot more intense than the 10 week course, however the teaching methods used are interesting and keep you engaged throughout the class. After realising how much vocab there is to learn after each class I look forward to the 10 week course which I-m sure will be equally as interesting but should allow me to take on more words and sentence structure.
So far have genuinely loved this course and look forward to Wednesday evenings each week. In fact, I almost changed a work flight just to be back for one lesson. We have a laugh every week and I feel like we’re learning at a great pace.
My fourth level with the lovely Yaiza, such a great teacher keeping everyone focused and eager to learn, I enjoy it just as much as my first level 1 class. Muchas gracias Vamos pero in particular Yaiza
The program and course content were very well designed and provided good examples and exercises to help understand the complexities in the language. Diana took great care in addressing our queries in a clear and concise method.
Very good, would like to learn a bit more vocabulary and variety in subjects along with the past tense grammar. Enjoyed classes with Andrea very much, she´s an excellent teacher.
It is a very helpful and friendly atmosphere. Amalia has a very effective ways of explaining everything. I had a great time in these level 1 classes.
Was exactly what I was looking for in terms of (i) content, (ii) schedule, (iii) work required of me, etc.
Above all – excellent teacher!
I enjoyed the variety of activities and teaching methods.
