"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course forms part two of the Upper Intermediate B2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
– Very good and enjoyable class
– Teaching methods are easy to follow
– Elena made the whole class feel very comfortable and has an excellent teaching approach
– Good communication with Russell which helps for bookings etc
I thought the standard of teaching was excellent way beyond my expectations. The teacher was enthusiastic, patient and passed that enthusiasm to everyone in the class. I learned a lot.
I thought the course gave a good understanding of the Spanish language in general. I thought Elena was excellent throughout, very enthusiastic and always has time for everyone. Gracias Elena!
Very well done. Friendly. Very good teacher. Very good vibe/atmosphere. Good exercises. I would recommend it. Overall I think it’s a great course.
I really enjoy the course. It has met all my objectives and I want to continue learning Spanish. Clara is a wonderful teacher.
I can´t think of a way it could be improved. Amaya is fantastic and has made the course worthwhile and fun. I wouldn’t want another teacher now.
Vamos was able to handle a smooth transition from in-person classes to remote classes. Given the circumstances, this was impressive and very much appreciated.
As a whole, I like it! The classes are interactive, with very few students. It means that on the one hand, the teacher knows us, is able to make us work but also, on the other hand, students also get to know each other. Bonus point, having the same teacher and the same group of students from a trimester to another is great!
Fun and useful. The ‘Cava baja’ comics are very good, as well as the exercise / interactive practices that comes with it.
Continues to keep me really interested! Carol is an amazing teacher, and I am very happy with Vamos on the whole. Will definitely stay on for a few more levels.
