"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part four of the Intermediate B1 syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 5 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
I think this is a very good course which is enjoyable + taught well.
Great level. Really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work Sara!
The 2 lessons/week format works really well, you really feel like you are making progress. Paula packs a lot into the class – which is how it should be! Great!
Great fun, lot’s of interesting activities. Content in context, great atmosphere, outstanding teachers 🙂
It’s been a very good course. Diana’s teaching has been excellent and I’ve enjoyed the classes. I would highly recommend the course. Muchas gracias!
Fun and effective way of learning, with a good mixture of activities and games. Carol has infectious enthusiasm as well, which makes learning fun.
Another productive and interesting 10 weeks of Spanish. Enjoying it very much. Always look forward to my class on Saturday. Thank you again, Amaya, for making it so interesting and thank you, Russell, for having this centre.
I have really enjoyed the course. I really appreciate the catch up classes. Ruth is a brilliant teacher, she makes the class fun and is very good at explaining why and how the language works. I am booking on to the next course!
Still enjoying it. As ever, good mix of talking, writing and listening. Enric is great at infecting fun and humour into lessons.
