"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part four of the Intermediate B1 syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
I really enjoyed the program. The conversation classes were very good and I wish I didn’t miss one of them. I felt that the only thing that stopped me excelling as much as I wanted to was my lack of commitment to homework each week!
I really enjoyed the programme, there were lots of different learning activities and I learnt a lot during the course. Lessons seemed to fly by!
I found the standard of explanation exemplary and interesting at all times. The interaction with other students was really beneficial as well as fun. Paula made the class stimulating and the time just flew by. I felt that I learned a lot in a short period of time and felt encouraged to continue with my studies.
A lot of fun – loved that Andrea let us have a laugh and joined in. I thought there was a good range of exercises that kept things interesting with a good mix of speaking, writing etc. Have had such a good time and am very excited for level 2!
Met my objectives. Clearly improved my language skills. Aixa was really patient and teaches everything clearly. So it was easy to follow. Looking forward to the next level.
My overall experience has been great with ‘VAMOS’. The classes are fun and designed in a way which makes learning a new language quite easy. My classmates were amazing and the teacher was great too. I appreciate other small initiatives as well such as speaking classes, catch up class, tapas nights. It made quite a difference. I would definitely continue further ahead.
It was very good, everything explained on really professional and easy to get way.
Monica was fantastic! The course went at a good pace and I am very happy with my progress. The classes have also been enjoyable. Conversation classes are a plus and I fully intend to utilise the new weekly option. Gracias Monica. Hasta pronto!
Really enjoyable, very good teacher and management. Thought lessons are very useful and practically usable. It was lot of fun with the group also
