"Hola! I'm Amaya from the famous city of Salamanca!
I studied at University of Salamanca where in addition to my Spanish teaching degree I obtained a Masters degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
I have many years experience in the education sector, including seven as a class teacher (three at Salamanca University) and one as an A-level teacher in London.
Since joining Vamos in March 2012 I have helped develop the school's academic department as well as extra activities here at Holborn and in Spain. In addition to teaching, special projects remains part of my role.
I do hope you enjoy your experience at Vamos. With such a warm and friendly atmosphere it’s really fun to learn!

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part four of the Intermediate B1 syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
I loved Amaya’s energy and enthusiasm and being able to access material dealt with in the previous classes. Amaya is a talented teacher, I have learnt so much in this course despite the fact that I had been attending classes for about a year elsewhere. I have already booked onto the next level. No complaints at all.
This was my first time with Mariluz. I really enjoyed the class. She’s very professional, knowledgeable and knows how to make difficult concepts simple. She’s patient and cares a lot for her students.
The activity book is great and keeps the homework together, so is useful to refer to. Andrea is a really enthusiastic teacher and makes learning fun. I found level 6 quite difficult in parts but practising will make it easier I am sure. Thanks!
You are doing a great job. Thank you.
I’ve really enjoyed the course; both the way it´s been taught/prepared + Amaya´s enthusiasm + constant upbeat persona. Makes for a fun learning experience.
I´m really looking forward to level 3 and hope Amaya can continue teaching us! 🙂

Elena is great and very patient with us! I’ve really enjoyed the classes and looking forward to continuing with Elena for the next level!!! Gracias!!!
I’ve really enjoyed Level 2 – I felt I got to grips more with the language. Lessons with Enrique are always very interactive, which is a great way of learning. I hope to continue with Level 3 after the summer. Gracias Enrique!
