"¡Hola a todos! I'm Victoria from Gijón, a coastal city in the north of Spain.
I have a degree in Philology and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language, which I obtained at the University of Oviedo. I also have a Master's degree in Teaching obtained at the University of Salamanca.
I have taught Spanish for several years in China, where I worked as an official DELE examiner for A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels at the Cervantes Institute.
I think learning a language is not only about memorising grammar or vocabulary, but enjoying it and having fun while you discover a new world. That's the reason I make communicative and enjoyable classes where students become confident in their skills and share their knowledge.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at Vamos and starting a new adventure together!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part one of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Overall I enjoyed the course. I loved the variety of teaching methods and especially the use if film as a teaching aid.
It was fun and I learned a lot. I definitely come back.
Good structure and delivery. Classes are fun and the balance of speaking and learning is good.
I attended the Survival Spanish course and thought it was excellent. It covered everything I was hoping and means I know have a firm grounding for when I next visit Spain, as well as a platform to take my learning further. Clara was great at constantly checking throughout the day to ensure that the course met all our needs and expectations. I highly recommend the course for anyone wishing to learn the essentials of Spanish so that they can get by.
The classes were really intensive and I have learnt a lot.
I enjoy the Vamos activity books and the activities in the lessons.
Enjoyable with a good sense of progression and good atmosphere.
Much better than my previous program at a different school. Moved on with activities quickly. I found the 1 week intensive set up to be very good and learned a lot over the course.
Good, fun, moves along fast enough to keep attention but slow enough to learn.
Nice mix of oral, written and reading.
