Your Teacher

"іHola! I am María and I am from Albacete, a small town in Castilla – La Mancha.

But I have also lived and studied in Valencia and also Leeds in England where I did my Erasmus studies for one year. Now I am living in London and I came here year and a half ago.

I have a degree in Translation and Linguistic Mediation from the University of Valencia and a Masters in Secondary Education. After I graduated I did a Postgraduate Course in Didactics and Methodology of Spanish as a Foreign Language with the collaboration of the Institute Cervantes.

I love teaching and I try to make my classes creative, dynamic and fun and at the same time ensuring my students are learning!

I look forward to meeting you at Vamos!"

About Us

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.

More about this course

This is part one of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish. It’s a 20 hour course over 5 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.

We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
