"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is revision course of the B2 Upper Intermediate syllabus. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
The course exceeded my expectations, as I wasn’t sure about it. However I am very happy and glad about this program. Amaya is a great teacher and I look forward to level 2.
I thought the teaching methods were very good and the teacher excellent, always trying to involve everyone in the class.
Lots of fun, as well as being extremely supportive in all areas of the learning.
Very intense. Good for those who want to progress fast. A lot to study time is needed. Very lively teaching.
I think the program was well structured with a balance mix of grammar and vocabulary. The lessons were enjoyable and covered a wide range of subjects.
I really enjoy the course. It has met all my objectives and I want to continue learning Spanish. Clara is a wonderful teacher.
I enjoyed the level. It was more challenging but I feel that I am progressing. I look forward to the next level.
I really enjoyed it and I’m definitely continuing with Patricia into another level. Great school, I’ve learned a lot during these 10 weeks. I’m really looking forward to completing all the levels with our lovely Patricia!
It has been a great course with a friendly teaching method for an interactive class. I think I needed to learn more vocabulary as I felt the other students knew a lot more than me. Maybe I need a list of vocab before the lesson and after. I did try to study Spanish in Australia but I didn’t go back after the first lesson, but I will be back for level 2. Thank you :))
