"Hola, chicos! ¿Cómo estáis? I am Ana from Los Molinos, a town near Madrid!
I have a degree in Spanish Language and Literature and a Master’s degree in teaching and I obtained them both at the Complutense University in Madrid.
I am also an official DELE examiner for B1, B2, C1 and C2 levels, but it is important for you to know that teaching Spanish is not only my work but my passion as well."
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part three of the Intermediate B1 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Belén is an amazing teacher! She makes the lessons fun and engaging, varying the activities and exercises we do to help us with different skills whilst keeping the energy levels and our motivations high. She is very patient and explains things extremely well, particularly the grammar aspects. She clearly cares about our achievements and progress which is very important to me. Vamos’ lesson programmes are great. I feel they move at a good pace and the homework is very manageable. Classes are small enough that you have enough 1:1 support when needed but still have the opportunities to practice with different people in the class. I feel like I have learnt so much since starting and my confidence has really grown too! I will definitely be returning for the next level!
Excellent. I’m amazed at how much I have learned, understood and can speak after this week long intensive. The size of the class was just right which enabled quality 1:1 interaction. Maria was very energetic, attentive and personable.
Loved this course! The variety of different teaching methods keeps it interesting and engaging + wonderful teacher! The only thing I would have liked to focus on more would be travel related conversations – eg. Asking for directions, ordering food at restaurants, etc. Maybe this is covered in conversation classes but unfortunately I haven’t been able to attend yet.
It was a good mix of grammar, discussion and exercises.
Very good and lively class with lots of interaction. I feel the improvements and more confident in Spanish.
Really enjoyed the course, Andrea is a great teacher and I met some other nice students who are trying to achieve the same as me.
A thoroughly enjoyable course, teaching methods mixed up very well to keep things interesting and fun. Many thanks once again.
Really enjoyed it!
Great variety of different activities to practise different aspects of Spanish. Always enjoyable and a brilliant teacher. I also had a lot of fun at the conversation classes/tapas nights and met some great people.
Looking forward to the next level.
Very good teaching. Excellent way to learn Spanish. Would highly recommend.
