"¡Hola! I’m Andrea from Bilbao, in the north of Spain!
I have a 4-year degree in Spanish Studies from the University of Deusto, which covered linguistics, literature, grammar and the history of the Spanish language and I later qualified as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
I am an official DELE examiner (awarded by Institute Cervantes, London) for levels A1 to C2 and since joining Vamos in September 2012, I am also one of the school's academic managers where part of my responsibilities includes the recruitment and training of new teachers.
My teaching style places particular emphasis on the communicative approach and I always want my students to get the most out of their lesson.
I love teaching so much that it hardly feels like a job and I hope you enjoy your course at ¡Vamos!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part one of the Intermediate B1 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Excelente! The course was well structured and I feel confident in holding a basic conversation in Spanish. I enjoyed the high level of interaction with my teacher and fellow students, and I liked how the teacher spoke mainly in Spanish, really helped me tune my ears to the speed of the language!! Finally, Noelia was fantastic! She has a very positive personality, inspires confidence in my attempts to pronounce words! But most importantly she made it fun! Bring on level 2
Great teacher; lively course.
I enjoyed the course very much. Andi is a very good teacher. The class was well structured and the method of teaching made the earning fun. I also like that you can catch up classes that you missed. Well done Vamos!
The program was excellent, we have learnt a lot this week. Cristina is very enthusiastic teacher and the activities were fun.
The program is well organised with a lot of activities.
Very fun and informative! The fact I look forward to every lesson on a Monday, when I am usually wishing for the day to be over means that I enjoy the classes very much 🙂 I am looking forward to continue and gain more confidence in speaking Spanish.
Excellent programme, excellent teacher. I really like Jessica, she makes the lesson fun and is a good teacher. Good class sizes. Good learning resources. The website is a good learning tool for homework and recap. Would highly recommend the course.
I did really enjoy the last 5 weeks. Was very interactive, was very useful and made me (really) deeply interested in the Spanish language. My expectations could totally meet with Ines’ ideas: (really nice and patient teacher, made very calm and friendly atmosphere during this course). I will miss it
I enjoyed the course, learnt new ideas as well as the language. I enjoyed Elena’s style of teaching.
