"¡Hola! I’m Andrea from Bilbao, in the north of Spain!
I have a 4-year degree in Spanish Studies from the University of Deusto, which covered linguistics, literature, grammar and the history of the Spanish language and I later qualified as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
I am an official DELE examiner (awarded by Institute Cervantes, London) for levels A1 to C2.
Since joining Vamos in September 2012, I became part of the academic department where my responsibilities included the recruitment and training of new teachers.
I am now the school's Director of Studies.
My teaching style places particular emphasis on the communicative approach and I always want my students to get the most out of their lesson.
I love teaching so much that it hardly feels like a job and I hope you enjoy your course at ¡Vamos!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part one of the Intermediate B1 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

The course was really well as always.
I like your course program. That’s even more than I expected to get. I have been studying for almost a year and now I feel completely different in Spain, able to talk and understand what people say. I will continue to study with pleasure.
Many thanks to Carla!
Teacher was very good. Good mix of activities. Very good I would recommend / come back again and I am slightly sad I can’t continue with level 2 as going away. I am starting to feel things clicking together.
I am impressed from myself how much I have learned and how much easier is for me to join real conversation in Spanish. In this level I have read my first short novel what I got from the school ‘Identicas’ and I have really enjoyed. I’m very thankful to Amaya for her patience, her time and amazing teacher skill.
Enjoyed the course and it is a good idea to have interactive activities with the students which Coral was able to do specially after a long day of work.
Amaya is an excellent teacher – very patient and engaging and always pitches the classes at the correct level.
I really like my teacher and the way she runs the class. It’s always interesting and she explains everything well.
Another great 5 week block whilst I was on holiday Sara was great and took the time to check homework! Thank you. Muchas gracias.
Good Course, increasingly difficult grammar was handled well with good summaries to use.
