"¡Hola! My name is David and I'm from Zaragoza, a mid-sized city in North East Spain.
I am a Philosophy graduate from the University of Zaragoza, and I have a SIELE Teacher Course Certificate from Instituto Cervantes.
I spent some years of my apprenticeship in Oxford and Budapest and became a teacher of Spanish as a second language three years ago, first in my hometown and now in London.
In addition to Spanish language and culture, I am passionate about music, cinema, football and literature and I love to connect with my students and make our classes even more in engaging.
See you in class! ¡Nos vemos en clase!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part two of the Elementary A2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Enjoyable. Exercises encouraged involvement and interaction. Andi is very engaging and enthusiastic which helps.
I think it was well organised and a very friendly place to study. The fact that you provide the book and you were sending us emails was very valuable. Also the catch up classes were very important. But the best factor of the program was Andrea Cortina. She is a great teacher. I wish I could continue with her. Many thanks for everything.
I thought it was really engaging and used a variety of teaching methods to appeal to all different learning abilities e.g. games, talking activities, listening and reading. Sandra’s a really fun, energetic teacher and I’ve really enjoyed learning with her. I would highly recommend the school. Great and fast communication as well.
Even though it was taught in Spanish completely I was able to understand new grammar easily
I continue to love my Spanish lessons! Level 4 was a big shift in difficulty but in a good way and I feel that my Spanish has improved significantly. Can’t wait for Level 5! Please can we have Clara as our teacher again 🙂
I have really enjoyed this course. I like the way Ruth encourages us to speak in Spanish as much as possible. We have covered grammar points I really wanted to learn.
The program was excellent, we have learnt a lot this week. Cristina is very enthusiastic teacher and the activities were fun.
The course was a good mix of speaking, writing + reading exercises with lots of interaction between students. The time always flies in class as we are learning and enjoying the exercises. The feedback on our homework is always productive and the tones of the lessons are light-hearted + fun. I will be definitely be signing up for the next level.
Love that the course is very verbal. Teacher was very approachable. Lessons are enjoyable. Love the flexibility regarding rescheduling lessons.
