"¡Hola! My name is also Alba and I come from Valencia!
I hold a degree in Spanish Studies (Universitat de València) and I am currently studying a Master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language at Universitat de Barcelona. I have been teaching Spanish in an immersion context in Valencia for one and half years and I previously taught Spanish in Tallinn (Estonia) as a part of an internship.
I am an enthusiastic and inspiring language teacher who loves sharing her passion about the Spanish language and our culture. Teaching languages is a beautiful job because it works towards building bridges between people and cultures.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students getting to know each other through Spanish and gaining the confidence to communicate in the language and learn about Spanish and Latin American culture.
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part two of the Elementary A2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Really good program. The classes were useful, productive and enjoyable, much better than I expected. I really enjoyed the free conversation classes and will definitely continue to level 2.
Great fun, lot’s of interesting activities. Content in context, great atmosphere, outstanding teachers 🙂
Really enjoyed the class and the teaching methods. Classes are relaxed. Materials used / writing exercises, listening, etc. help to understand the material better. Small class size ensures each student gets plenty of attention from the teacher.
Genuinely very happy with the course. Fran has been superb, well beyond expectations. I will be doing level 2 so that says it all really.
Really enjoyed the interactive element of the class and improved my confidence in speaking, as well as being able to understand more from the majority of the class being directed in Spanish. Weekly emails are great to catch up on in case you miss a lesson. Would highly recommend.
I enjoyed the course very much. Sara is a great teacher.
I highly recommend this program to anyone thinking about learning Spanish…
Very nice and self-sacrificing/exciting teacher and teaching method. Clear objectives, grammar well explained for everyone, even to those with no grammatical categories knowledge. If one wants to learn, a lot can be advanced for a beginner’s course.
Finished level 4, still enjoying it and getting better at speaking and comprehension. I like Amaya as a person and wouldn’t want to change my teacher. I like her style of teaching. She is always speaking Spanish to us, which helps a lot to practice and develop language skills further.
