"¡Hola a todos! I'm Victoria from Gijón, a coastal city in the north of Spain.
I have a degree in Philology and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language, which I obtained at the University of Oviedo. I also have a Master's degree in Teaching obtained at the University of Salamanca.
I have taught Spanish for several years in China, where I worked as an official DELE examiner for A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels at the Cervantes Institute.
I think learning a language is not only about memorising grammar or vocabulary, but enjoying it and having fun while you discover a new world. That's the reason I make communicative and enjoyable classes where students become confident in their skills and share their knowledge.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at Vamos and starting a new adventure together!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part two of the Elementary A2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Classes are fun making the language easier to learn. Teaching method is perfect for me. Will be back for level 2.
Alba is nice and a very lively person, which makes the classes not boring and fun.
I’ve really enjoyed all the levels I’ve done so far. I hope to continue to enjoy my classes. Sorry to leave Amaya´s teaching but I´m sure Tuesday´s will be just as good! 🙂 Thanks Amaya!
I enjoyed level 5 and the course was very interactive. We consolidated the preterito indefinido very well and learnt new tenses and vocabulary. Andrea is amazing and the other students in the class were very cool.
Our teacher is the best, which is the most important thing for a class.
Very good, Level 4 is a big step up from Level 3.
I enjoyed the classes and the challenges it presented. I’m really surprised by how much I have learned during the course.
An excellent language. I have studied various languages and attended different classes and this is one of the best. I was unsure of my linguistic level and Russell was very helpful in placing me in the right class. Carol is an excellent teacher: patient, clear, full of energy and ideas, and she communicates this with enthusiasm. The material was both interesting and topical. I will definitely continue with Vamos!
Really enjoyed it. Happy to continue. Many thanks to Andrea + Russell.
