"¡Hola a todos! I'm Victoria from Gijón, a coastal city in the north of Spain.
I have a degree in Philology and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language, which I obtained at the University of Oviedo. I also have a Master's degree in Teaching obtained at the University of Salamanca.
I have taught Spanish for several years in China, where I worked as an official DELE examiner for A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels at the Cervantes Institute.
I think learning a language is not only about memorising grammar or vocabulary, but enjoying it and having fun while you discover a new world. That's the reason I make communicative and enjoyable classes where students become confident in their skills and share their knowledge.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at Vamos and starting a new adventure together!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part two of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course aimed at students who have completed level 1. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

¡Fue incredible! ¡Me gusta estudiar español aquí! Maria es la maestra mejor
A thoroughly enjoyable course, teaching methods mixed up very well to keep things interesting and fun. Many thanks once again.
I really enjoyed learning with Paloma-This level is a lot harder than level 1. I am really happy with the amount of content during the lessons and also the right amount of homework.
Thank you! Looking forward to level 3 later this year.
I think it’s been great as usual. I will carry on with this class and school forever!
Very good introduction to Spanish. At times the content seemed a bit fast to keep up with. I would like the opportunity to have practised more spoken Spanish even if it meant cutting some of the content.
¡Muy bueno! I enjoy coming to class every week as it´s an enjoyable way of learning. Amaya is fantastic! 🙂
Sandra was an awesome teacher. She made the learning so much more interesting and lively with her jokes. Enjoyed my time here 🙂
I have loved the program. Alba is awesome and made it very engaging. I look forward to Level 2
A lot of fun and very interactive!
