"¡Hola! My name is David and I'm from Zaragoza, a mid-sized city in North East Spain.
I am a Philosophy graduate from the University of Zaragoza, and I have a SIELE Teacher Course Certificate from Instituto Cervantes.
I spent some years of my apprenticeship in Oxford and Budapest and became a teacher of Spanish as a second language three years ago, first in my hometown and now in London.
In addition to Spanish language and culture, I am passionate about music, cinema, football and literature and I love to connect with my students and make our classes even more in engaging.
See you in class! ¡Nos vemos en clase!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part two of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course aimed at students who have completed level 1. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Very good course, enjoyed every second of it. Our teacher explained everything very clearly and in understandable manner. I would recommend it to anybody.
I really like the course and think the teaching techniques are 100% suited and effective. The lessons are enthusiastic and fun and I have learnt a lot.
Very good. There was a clear structure and format. Teachers were very knowledgeable and the handouts were good. The posts after lessons were always useful and the homework corrected every week. It was really easy to do a catch up class and I much preferred it to the other place I learnt Spanish.
I enjoyed it very much, just like all the other levels. Andrea is a great teacher and she makes the classes interesting and fun. She’s always helpful!
That was great! Thank you very much!
Ruth is an excellent teacher. She makes the atmosphere fun + easy going. I can’t believe I’ve learnt so much so quickly.
The teacher was very patient and enthusiastic. I enjoyed the different learning styles. The recap at the start of each lesson was good. The tapas and conversation classes were a great touch.
Was fun learning by using different teaching methods and a lot was covered in the time given, informative, fun and good practice
I have recently commenced the Level 1 course and Clara is an excellent teacher!
