"¡Hola! My name is also Alba and I come from Valencia!
I hold a degree in Spanish Studies (Universitat de València) and I am currently studying a Master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language at Universitat de Barcelona. I have been teaching Spanish in an immersion context in Valencia for one and half years and I previously taught Spanish in Tallinn (Estonia) as a part of an internship.
I am an enthusiastic and inspiring language teacher who loves sharing her passion about the Spanish language and our culture. Teaching languages is a beautiful job because it works towards building bridges between people and cultures.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students getting to know each other through Spanish and gaining the confidence to communicate in the language and learn about Spanish and Latin American culture.
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part two of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course aimed at students who have completed level 1. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

The entire program is just fantastic. Carol and the courses are outstanding. This is the reason why I signed up for the course. I will definitely continue.
I have enjoyed the program as a whole. Generally, a great and supportive learning environment. Patricia is very patient and is great at re-capping and helping with problem areas.
The teacher is very enthusiastic which helps to stay focused at the end of the day. Maybe a quiz could be done every few weeks so that we can study more at home.
Patricia has been a great and pleasant teacher throughout the entire journey and Russell has been nothing short of accommodating and generous. It’s made the entire course fun and a brilliant way to start learning a new language!
Voy a continuar con los clases hasta el final
Creo que el clase estaba muy interesante y creo que el profesor es muy amable y gracias Adela.
I really enjoyed the class – Carolina is a very patient teacher and very good. It was fun to come and be able to speak Spanish each week.
A great introduction to the language with a flexible approach. Loved the online lessons as living outside London, being able to do the course from home was just brilliant.
Am keen to progress to further levels and hopefully one day go to Valencia for the residential 5 day course.
Thank you so you all at Vamos – one positive aspect of lockdown for sure!
I have loved the classes. The lessons are easy to follow and allow for a lot of flexibility if a student can’t make a class for some reason. The work load is manageable and the lessons have flowed well from one to the next.
From the two weeks that I attended, the programme seemed very good – variety of teaching methods and interaction and Clara is a very enthusiastic and understanding teacher.
Looking forward to nivel siete!
