"¡Hola a todos! I'm Victoria from Gijón, a coastal city in the north of Spain.
I have a degree in Philology and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language, which I obtained at the University of Oviedo. I also have a Master's degree in Teaching obtained at the University of Salamanca.
I have taught Spanish for several years in China, where I worked as an official DELE examiner for A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels at the Cervantes Institute.
I think learning a language is not only about memorising grammar or vocabulary, but enjoying it and having fun while you discover a new world. That's the reason I make communicative and enjoyable classes where students become confident in their skills and share their knowledge.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at Vamos and starting a new adventure together!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part two of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course aimed at students who have completed level 1. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

I loved the first stage of the program. Carmen is a brilliant teacher – she made the lessons fun as well as informative! I will be carrying on with the course – it is such god value for money and really enjoyable as well as educational.
Very enjoyable, informative and I really do think I learnt something. Enric was a most sympathetic, engaging and motivating teacher.
The teacher was very patient and enthusiastic. I enjoyed the different learning styles. The recap at the start of each lesson was good. The tapas and conversation classes were a great touch.
Very impressive. Lessons were structured in a way that introduced new vocabulary and grammar, while keeping you engaged. Emphasis was made on communicating with others, which is the reason I signed up for the course in the first place. Finally, Ruth was always very helpful and understanding. She is a very good educator. Thanks! Will definitely come back.
The program was interesting and challenging. I liked the high level vocabulary and themes dealt with in the book.
I really enjoyed the class with Alberto, and the course in general. We had lots of help and he was patient throughout, I would recommend the school to all. Thank you so much!
Great program – muy divertido!
Very good, interesting and fun classes! Especially like the fact that Amaya tells us extra tips and information so we understand the concepts.
It really met my objectives and my goals. I improved a lot my Spanish. I easily can have a conversation now. I love the method of Andrea. She is really helpful and ready to explain your doubts and uncertainties even for the 1000th time.
