"¡Hola! My name is also Alba and I come from Valencia!
I hold a degree in Spanish Studies (Universitat de València) and I am currently studying a Master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language at Universitat de Barcelona. I have been teaching Spanish in an immersion context in Valencia for one and half years and I previously taught Spanish in Tallinn (Estonia) as a part of an internship.
I am an enthusiastic and inspiring language teacher who loves sharing her passion about the Spanish language and our culture. Teaching languages is a beautiful job because it works towards building bridges between people and cultures.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students getting to know each other through Spanish and gaining the confidence to communicate in the language and learn about Spanish and Latin American culture.
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part two of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course aimed at students who have completed level 1. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

I have enjoyed the programme, it progresses at a good pace and Diana is a fun, knowledgeable teacher who comes up with good activities/games to teach the content.
This course was a lot of verbs! Andrea has said that the next level is fewer verbs and more conversation, so hopefully this level of hard work will pay off!
I have learnt a lot over the past year… I can now almost eavesdrop on people on the tube!
Maria is an excellent teacher, very lively and helpful.
It flows very well and the range of activities – group and independent – work very well. The small class sizes also are helpful for learning.
I enjoyed the course, teaching methods + materials. The teacher is excellent and the classes are fun.
I thought it was really helpful and easy to understand the flow of the class. I give it 10/10 in every way.
Excellent programme. Very well structured. Fantastic teachers. Great way to learn and build confidence in speaking and writing Spanish.
Excellent course. Maria was always bright and bubbly and enthused the class. Teaching method first class. Wish I had had this at school (many months ago)
