We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part two of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish. It’s a 20 hour course over 10 weeks aimed at students who have completed level 1. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.
Motivating. I’ve done another course a long time ago and didn’t feel like attending class. I look forward to Spanish on Wednesday! Very manageable, so fun and I look forward to the next level.
I really enjoyed the programme. I like that the focus is on speaking and that we are interactive. The classes are small so there is plenty of opportunity to practice and no hiding!
Till very recently I found it hard to follow up the work from class. I have found Andi’s notes published on the website to be very helpful. I still find the book quite hard. The teaching is very good.
Really well structured and interactive. The standard of teaching is very good: open and supportive.
A fantastic weekend. The programme was the right balance between learning and putting into practice our newly learnt expressions. Everyone should go on a Vamos weekend!
I thought it was really engaging and used a variety of teaching methods to appeal to all different learning abilities e.g. games, talking activities, listening and reading. Sandra’s a really fun, energetic teacher and I’ve really enjoyed learning with her. I would highly recommend the school. Great and fast communication as well.
Good first entry level, covers all the basics.
Elena is a great teacher and helped to bring the course to life with information about Spanish culture and way of life.
The programme was good and I enjoyed learning Spanish. The catch up classes are useful.
