"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course forms part three of the Upper Intermediate B2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

I was really happy with the classes and feel as if I have learnt a huge amount. The lessons were fun and interactive which made them a lot more interesting.
I really enjoyed the class with Alberto, and the course in general. We had lots of help and he was patient throughout, I would recommend the school to all. Thank you so much!
Excellent, I love the programme and the school. I think I will stay with Vamos until level 12. Russell has done a great job of making Vamos more than just a Spanish school. The social angle adds a lot. Ines is a great and very fun teacher.
Great variety of activities and speaking. Great teaching, same as Level 1!
Fantastic program, great way to learn, great teacher!
Andrea was very engaging and informative, providing a suitable balance of English and Spanish throughout the course. The class size was optimum also, as there was suitable opportunities to read in Spanish, speak the language, and ask necessary questions. All in all a solid foundation to build from a basic understanding of the language.
Firstly I would like to say Andrea is an excellent teacher, who works very hard to keep the tempo of the classes to a good level.
I found the class to be rewarding but at times felt the pace was slower than I would like, but fully appreciate this is based on the class and not in Andrea´s hands.
This is my first language course so unfortunately I don’t have a previous class to use as a comparison. That said I’d been very impressed with the quality of the teachers, materials and the level of service.
I liked it. Nice mixture of grammar and conversation. Much new vocabulary!
