"¡Hola a todos! I'm Victoria from Gijón, a coastal city in the north of Spain.
I have a degree in Philology and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language, which I obtained at the University of Oviedo. I also have a Master's degree in Teaching obtained at the University of Salamanca.
I have taught Spanish for several years in China, where I worked as an official DELE examiner for A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels at the Cervantes Institute.
I think learning a language is not only about memorising grammar or vocabulary, but enjoying it and having fun while you discover a new world. That's the reason I make communicative and enjoyable classes where students become confident in their skills and share their knowledge.
I'm looking forward to meeting you at Vamos and starting a new adventure together!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course forms part three of the Upper Intermediate B2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

This is the 3rd language school I have attended and it is by far the best. The resources and being able to attend catch up classes are great. The teacher and teaching style is the best I’ve experienced.
It was fun and a good introduction to Spanish. The homework was manageable and encouraged practising what you had learnt.
Patricia is a lively teacher, full of enthusiasm. There is a good mix between activities. The best times in the class are when we have to get up and talk to other students which mixes things up. Nice to see new screens.
I have loved it! Nereida has been the best teacher – so energetic and creative. I particularly appreciate her telling me Argentina versions of words, as that is where I am moving to. I wish I was around long enough to do level 2 with her.
Clara was always very motivated. She has great ideas for games that make the classes a lot of fun. I really enjoyed every class and I feel I improved my Spanish a lot. Thanks Clara!
Ruth is a very good and engaging teacher. As a complete beginner, the material, lesson structure, homework and activities were just right. In the 10 weeks I feel I have learnt a lot and covered a good range of topics.
It is well thought and progression is clear. Plus activities are really fun!
I thought the course moved at a great pace and working through activities in class really helped with remembering words and grammar. Ruth is an excellent teacher who is always happy to explain anything to the class.
The classes are interesting and fun. Ruth is very friendly and an excellent teacher who is willing to repeat things over and over again; she is very patient.
