"¡Hola! My name is Romina and I'm from La Plata, the capital of Buenos Aires province in Argentina.
I am a qualified teacher with a certificate in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Instituto Cervantes and Roehampton University. I also have a degree in Psychology and have worked in the field of education for many years.
I think the best way to learn a language is through communicating and interacting from the start. I love making my lessons enjoyable and creative, using different activities and resources, while sharing aspects of my culture in the process. I find seeing the progress of my students very rewarding as they become more confident using the language in practical situations.
I am looking forward to meeting you at Vamos!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course forms part two of the Upper Intermediate B2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Yaiza is a fantastic teacher – she has energy and patience. She is also aware of how quickly each student picks up certain aspects of the course – and for anyone struggling she will dedicate more time to a specific exercise without making the rest of the class feel disengaged – she encourages everyone to participate in a very positive way.
The course met my expectations, I have enjoyed the classes and the teaching.
Sara was a great teacher – I absolutely enjoyed the course and would want to do level 2 with Sara!
Interactive and fun. An easy way to learn Spanish in a no pressure environment.
Amaya makes excellent posts; the class is well structured, interesting + informative.
Me gustan mucho las clases! Clara es muy buena profesora! 🙂
I’ve really enjoyed the course. There were some difficult topics, but I know I need to practice more the speaking and listening. Clara was very helpful and inspiring! I will miss her as my teacher.
This was my first time with Mariluz. I really enjoyed the class. She’s very professional, knowledgeable and knows how to make difficult concepts simple. She’s patient and cares a lot for her students.
The course was fast paced and always fun. The activities were relevant and progressed my learning a lot. The course offered opportunity to study in groups + alone and had the right balance. The teaching was fantastic and always encouraged participation and created a great atmosphere in the classroom.
A fantastic start to learning Spanish. A fun and interesting course. Neus is a brilliant teacher and the lessons are very enjoyable. I will definitely be doing Level 2.
