"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course forms part two of the Upper Intermediate B2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Another really good course. Very enjoyable and lots of fun. Although difficult at times its always surprising how much I have learnt by the end. Looking forward to the next one.
The course was excellent. Andrea is a great teacher. She always makes the classes fun and is enthusiastic, and as it’s conversation she asks us whether there are topics we’d like to cover or things we’d like to include – e.g. we said that we’d like to do some grammar revision and she built that into the homework.
I thought Guillermo was excellent and very patient with the class. He always comes up with good methods for us to grasp the grammar rules. In addition to that, he encouraged us even when we may have found the material challenging.
Really enjoyed it. Love the group and Carolina is a great teacher. Very happy!
I thought we covered a lot of subjects in this level. I found it very useful and feel I learnt a lot. Good course, great teacher!
• Great teacher.
• Enthusiastic every Wednesday
• The style was relaxed and really helped promote a good atmosphere within the class.
• After work is hard but Carol really motivated us.
Thanks for everything. I would have never guessed that 6 months after starting the classes I would be able to understand and speak so much Spanish! You make learning a pleasure!
The program ensures that with an optimum level of effort the student gains solid foundations. The class was well taught as Andrea blended seriousness, pedagogy and fun.
Andrea is truly a lovely person and great teacher. I really enjoy her lessons and classmates that surround me. Every lesson is different and challenging.
