"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course forms part one of the Upper Intermediate B2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

The programme is very good and Andi’s teaching is excellent. I sometimes found the pace a little slow, but appreciate that’s because of the mixture of different people in the group.
A brilliant experience and will definitely recommend. Looking forward to the next class (in Spain!) excellent teacher whose brilliance and patience made it all worth the value (despite unusually wet weather). Bravo Clara and thanks Russell for organizing it.
I think the school is very well organised and gives intimacy to the students. The classes have a very friendly environment and the methods of teaching are efficient.
Overall I thought the course was really good. Ines was excellent, really good teacher, very inventive in class so her lessons were always interesting and varied, very supportive + very patient! Lessons were very lively + enjoyable.
It´s great that the lessons help absorb more effectively. It gives/ provides a stepping-stone to start learning Spanish and provides solid guidance. I have learned so much from the past 10 lessons. Thank you!!!
I thought the teaching methods were very good and the teacher excellent, always trying to involve everyone in the class.
I had an amazing weekend in Asturias. The mix of learning and socializing with the other students was perfect. The food was good and the wine flowed freely. I particularly enjoyed the market on Sunday morning where we put to good use all the Spanish we learned over the weekend. I´m looking forward to the next trip.
Classes are very dynamic and the teacher is great, always motivating the students.
Very enjoyable. Fran is a charismatic teacher who demonstrates a passion for ensuring everyone gets the most out of the class and achieves their objectives.
