"Hola! Qué tal? I am Paula from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I have a degree from the University of Barcelona for teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have worked in language institutes and French International Schools in Dubai and Hong Kong and I like my lessons to be interesting, fun and practical!
Learning a new language has to adapt to your needs to communicate, so to me the most important is to get you speaking Spanish from day one. That’s why creating the right atmosphere in class is key for everyone to feel relaxed and willing to participate.
I look forward to having the opportunity to help you learn, not only the language but also some of the culture that comes along.
See you soon at Vamos!!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part one of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

The intensive course was really great. Paula has a hilarious and energetic way of communicating. I feel this is an essential way of teaching a foreign language, as it is very challenging! I loved the course and the people in it.
Enric is a patient, clear teacher who goes above and beyond simply ‘teaching the basics’. His classes are fun, imaginative and fast paced enough to progress students over a 5 week period.
I thought the course was great and I am really enjoying coming to class. There is a fun atmosphere in my class and Andrea is a great teacher and explains things very well. I would definitely recommend the course to other people.
It’s an amazing program, and involves great writing, verbal skills. I received more than expected. Most interesting is class review and funny exercises by email. Amaya’s teaching methodology is great. She makes you grasp things very smoothly. Also, the way she correlates the phrases with English and exercises we do with her.
Paula was excellent. She is a very patient teacher and always very positive. She created a positive learning environment every day. She remained enthusiastic and allowed me to make mistakes, never making me disappointed in myself. The course is intense but Paula broke it down step by step.
The programme was very helpful to understand the basics. It’s very interactive and Andrea is very friendly.
The program is good. A nice level of theory and practice especially is supplemented with the optional conversation classes.
Amalia moves fast, she is a great teacher and a lovely person, which really helps. The class towards the end started moving a little fast for me but only because work commitments left me with little time outside of class to practice, I only just managed to make every class and complete every homework. I will be back for sure. Just not sure when due to work.
I continue to enjoy the program. Noelia is an excellent teacher. Always enthusiastic and willing to help. The conversation class on Friday is great.
