"іHola! I am Carla from Madrid.
I have a Degree in Spanish awarded by the Complutense University of Madrid, Master’s Degree in Spanish Language and a QTS in the UK. I am also qualified as a DELE B1/B2 examiner at the “Instituto Cervantes”.
For me, learning a language means much more than just being able to speak the language. It means travelling, working and meeting amazing people. Essentially it means broadening our knowledge and discovering the world. I am eager to share with you my love for learning a foreign language.
I have been teaching Spanish for the past three years in Spain, USA and now in England. Teaching is an amazing and rewarding experience and Vamos is a perfect place to do so!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part one of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

I enjoy Spanish classes with Andrea. She speaks in Spanish at all times, which I find useful. And she is always really cheerful and happy to teach.
I found the teaching and course materials very informative. Love the interactive teaching style and the variety in each of the lessons. Although I wasn’t able to attend a catch-up class! I received a prompt email response after requesting. Emails of lesson summaries very useful. Thanks Aixa! See you at level 2 🙂
The program is good. A nice level of theory and practice especially is supplemented with the optional conversation classes.
The course has been very good and we have covered a lot in 10 weeks. The pace of the course is good and and enough time is spent on each topic. I like the integration of all topics by the end – eg. not just learning a subject, then moving on and forgetting it. Andrea is a great teacher!
Really enjoyed the class. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was. Diana is a great teacher. Muchas gracias!
I enjoyed level 5 and the course was very interactive. We consolidated the preterito indefinido very well and learnt new tenses and vocabulary. Andrea is amazing and the other students in the class were very cool.
I enjoyed all of the classes. They were a fun way to learn and I´m starting to feel more confident to use Spanish on my travels! The conversation classes are good fun too, and a great way of practising what you learnt.
Andi is a great teacher. She is always upbeat and engaging, as well as having creative teaching style and patience to explain things!
Great class, great teacher. Makes you feel welcome even if you’re late. We covered a variety of topics/ themes. Will definitely continue to Level 10.
