"¡Hola! My name is Elena and I come from Seville, the capital of Andalusia, in the south of Spain.
I am a qualified teacher with a Certificate in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from International House and I also have a degree in Dramatic Arts and studies in English Literature and Linguistics.
I love studying languages and learning new aspects of different cultures, and I hope I can help you in getting to know those of Spain. I always try to create a comfortable and creative atmosphere in class, where everyone feels confident and is eager to participate."
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part one of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

An enjoyable informal way to learn Spanish.
Amaya is an excellent teacher and explains things very clearly – I am sad we are losing her! I enjoy the mix of grammar and rules and talking activities.
This course was really useful. We were learning a lot but it didn’t feel like learning because we enjoyed it so much. Thank you
Noelia is an excellent teacher. She makes learning so much fun. Given this will be my first second language it is hard, but if you put the studying in you will be rewarded.
I had a great time and I did become more confident in skills learned. I learned new things that I didn’t know before as well. The activities provided a great opportunity to use language with others and locals. Thank you!! Thank you for all the time spent organizing! Hotel was great.
Really fun and engaging way to learn! I am definitely coming back.
It was fantastic. Amaya is lovely and I very love the flexibility of the classes – if I miss one I can come in any other time. It helps a lot.
I think this course has been really fantastic, it has taught me so much to get me going in the language. I tell all my friends about Vamos and although I won’t be able to afford the next level I hope to come back at some point!
The class is good and very compelling. Andrea taught some very difficult subjects very well. For example, subjunctive and past tenses.
