"Hola! Qué tal? I am Paula from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I have a degree from the University of Barcelona for teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have worked in language institutes and French International Schools in Dubai and Hong Kong and I like my lessons to be interesting, fun and practical!
Learning a new language has to adapt to your needs to communicate, so to me the most important is to get you speaking Spanish from day one. That’s why creating the right atmosphere in class is key for everyone to feel relaxed and willing to participate.
I look forward to having the opportunity to help you learn, not only the language but also some of the culture that comes along.
See you soon at Vamos!!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part one of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Ruth is very approachable, patient. Explanations given in a simple way. She makes the classes fun and open but maintains a learning environment. Lessons appear to follow a sensible pattern.2 months is a good enough time but it becomes difficult/ boring / tiring. Good mixture of teaching styles. I will not attend more lessons if no Ruth.
I enjoyed the programme and feel like I have learned a lot. Thanks, Andi!
I like the programme! Good materials, much attention from Clara; possible to check what happened in class if I miss a lesson. Definitely, I am going to continue.
I switched to Ruth’s class from Susanna and enjoyed both classes. The pace of the teaching was perfect and the mix of exercises. I was offered a catch up class when I missed the first class of the course which helped me a lot. Overall, good value for money. It was fun learning with other kinds of people of all nationalities.
Very good programme. Classes are interactive and fun. Would come back for more.
Really pleased with all the learning methods and the time we spend in each exercise. Amaya is a great teacher and makes all of us enthusiastic about the lesson and learning Spanish.
A very enjoyable program, taught to a very high standard by an excellent teacher.
I really enjoy lessons with Sara because I think she is a wonderful teacher. She puts a lot of thought into her lessons and always makes the class fun. She creates a very positive learning atmosphere. I also think the conversation classes are useful.
Once again, I have had another great level, Carolina is an excellent teacher who guides us through tricky areas and grammatical subjects. I am really excited to continue with the course and am looking forward to starting level 9.
