"¡Hola! I’m Andrea from Bilbao, in the north of Spain!
I have a 4-year degree in Spanish Studies from the University of Deusto, which covered linguistics, literature, grammar and the history of the Spanish language and I later qualified as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
I am an official DELE examiner (awarded by Institute Cervantes, London) for levels A1 to C2 and since joining Vamos in September 2012, I am also one of the school's academic managers where part of my responsibilities includes the recruitment and training of new teachers.
My teaching style places particular emphasis on the communicative approach and I always want my students to get the most out of their lesson.
I love teaching so much that it hardly feels like a job and I hope you enjoy your course at ¡Vamos!"

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This 20-hour course is aimed at advanced/proficiency students who wish to further develop speaking skills to communicate fluently and effectively.
Practise fluent and spontaneous communication in different social contexts through a range of topic-based vocabulary and interactive activities.
Listening, reading and writing skills are enhanced through a combination of resources including newspaper articles, TED talks, videos, interviews, short movies and podcasts.
Carmen is fantastic, have improved my Spanish so much! Gutted I can’t carry on (as I’m going away) but will hopefully be back in 2015! Thanks so much, have really loved the course! Would definitely recommend Vamos!
Great school, great teacher and a great way to learn Spanish.
I have gone from not knowing a word of Spanish to intermediate level in 16 months! Would recommend to anybody considering learning Spanish.
Great teaching and at a good pace with recapping etc. We covered lots of vocab in a small amount of time and a good balance of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Adela is a great and interesting teacher!
Very good teacher. Nice to be in a small class as it means that you get lots of chances to practise. Overall I feel that my Spanish has improved and I was able to use it on my recent trip to Spain!
Andrea is an incredible teacher and as usual I really enjoyed the classes of this level. Looking forward to the next level!
I really enjoyed level 2 and am looking forward to level 3.
Vamos was able to handle a smooth transition from in-person classes to remote classes. Given the circumstances, this was impressive and very much appreciated.
As a whole, I like it! The classes are interactive, with very few students. It means that on the one hand, the teacher knows us, is able to make us work but also, on the other hand, students also get to know each other. Bonus point, having the same teacher and the same group of students from a trimester to another is great!
I really like this course. Coral is an amazing teacher. We learnt a lot of Spanish in such short time.
