"¡Hola! I’m Andrea from Bilbao, in the north of Spain!
I have a 4-year degree in Spanish Studies from the University of Deusto, which covered linguistics, literature, grammar and the history of the Spanish language and I later qualified as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language.
I am an official DELE examiner (awarded by Institute Cervantes, London) for levels A1 to C2.
Since joining Vamos in September 2012, I became part of the academic department where my responsibilities included the recruitment and training of new teachers.
I am now the school's Director of Studies.
My teaching style places particular emphasis on the communicative approach and I always want my students to get the most out of their lesson.
I love teaching so much that it hardly feels like a job and I hope you enjoy your course at ¡Vamos!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This 20-hour course is aimed at advanced/proficiency students who wish to further develop speaking skills to communicate fluently and effectively.
Practice fluent and spontaneous communication in different social contexts through a range of topic-based vocabulary and interactive activities.
Listening, reading and writing skills are enhanced through a combination of resources including newspaper articles, TED talks, videos, interviews, short movies and podcasts.
Please note there are no catch up classes available for this course

I thought it was really engaging and used a variety of teaching methods to appeal to all different learning abilities e.g. games, talking activities, listening and reading. Sandra’s a really fun, energetic teacher and I’ve really enjoyed learning with her. I would highly recommend the school. Great and fast communication as well.
I enjoyed the course very much. Sara is a great teacher.
There were good exercises and good grammar. Lots of talking in Spanish which was very good. I would like even more exercises with grammar.
Overall it was very good. On a personal note I did find there was a lot to take in – maybe little too much for the speed in which I learn – but though as a whole I’ve learned so much. Loved the course!
The class was enjoyable though probably a bit of a stretch this time as the standard was suddenly much higher. Still, good to raise standards. For me I prefer less group discussions. Good videos/tapes. Clara is still great at including everyone.
It has been well organised and Alejandro has been very enthusiastic about teaching us Spanish. It is a very good way to learn Spanish and feel confident speaking among a group.
Teachers are fantastic and possess a lot of enthusiasm. Overall, it´s great fun and I love coming back 🙂
Very interactive – a fun way to learn. Coral made all the lessons interesting.
The lessons are very good to cover the material and Maria presents everything in an engaging way.
