"¡Hola chicos! I am Paula, and I come from the wonderful city of Madrid!
I hold a BA (Hons) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a postgraduate in teaching Spanish as a foreign language certified by Roehampton University and Instituto Cervantes. I completed my MA in September 2016 at Kings College London and I am also a PhD candidate at the Open University.
Since completing my degree, I have sought to keep increasing my knowledge of linguistics and communication. I fully appreciate the importance of learning a language and the value it brings to both job and leisure opportunities. For this reason I love teaching at Vamos and developing dynamic and communicative activities where everyone feels welcome and confident. I am also a firm supporter of introducing debate and different contents in the class, so that students can improve their language skills while discussing interesting and current topics.
I love working at Vamos because staff and students have both created a big family. Why don’t you come and join! See you soon at Vamos!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This course is part two of the Elementary A2 syllabus.
It’s a 20 hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

It is an excellent programme, which is run at a good pace. Everyone is really friendly in the classes. Both Andi and Carmen were great teachers.
An excellent program. I feel I have made a lot of progress. Nos vemos en nivel cuatro.Gracias
Very engaging and dynamic, great atmosphere in class. It’s a real pleasure and a nice way to spend time after work. Very positive feedback would definitely recommend Vamos to friends.
Really enjoying the class – always look forward to learning more Spanish. Activities are fun and I’m starting to feel the progress in my ability to understand and speak Spanish. It’s nice that our group stays together level after level as I feel we are comfortable to speak and sometimes make mistakes around each other 🙂
The classes are interesting and fun. Ruth is very friendly and an excellent teacher who is willing to repeat things over and over again; she is very patient.
The programme was thorougly enjoyable and educational. The interactive environment aided learning and recall of words and phrases. The teacher, Amaya is thorough, helpful and inspires you to study and learn Spanish.
Very well organised, great teaching, very enjoyable.
Great activities to practice speaking more and to practice past tense, which is needed.
I enjoyed the level 1 course. It introduced me to the basics of Spanish. I was looking for travel. It’s an informal, fun and social way of learning. Excellent!
