"іHola! I am Alba and I am from León, a small and beautiful city in the Northwest of Spain.
I have studied two degrees at the University of León (Spanish language and literature & English language and literature) and also a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish to both native and foreign students (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status). I have also worked for several institutions such as the University of Greenwich.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is very willing to teach you some Spanish! And of course not only the language but also some of our culture.
I use the communicative approach in my classes and I try to make them as funny as possible! I truly believe learning does not have to be boring and I also try to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that you are able to understand.
I really hope you enjoy learning with us!"
We're a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and here at Holborn our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.
This is part one of 3 levels that form the A1 starting point to learning Spanish.
It’s a 20 hour course. You will follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

Muy bien! Excellent course, good amount of revision of tenses throughout and useful homework too. Enthusiastic teacher + enjoyable conversation classes.
Good way to learn, never really boring. I like how the lesson is structured and that you can have catch up classes. The teachers are really nice, competent and friendly.
There was a lot to learn at this level but it was taught at a good pace.
Very engaging. Teaching was precise and supportive.
It was good that level 10 included a lot of revision from previous lessons and levels. I am happy that the school provides the flexibility to repeat some of the content from previous levels before going to level 11.
Tatiana created a warm environment and made learning Spanish accessible when I have previously found languages to be really hard. The activities and workbook aided the in-class work and I found the homework to be really helpful. Personally, I wish I could have been available for the conversation classes, as I think this would have been helpful.
I enjoyed the classes a lot! They were as good and interesting as the ones in Level 1! Noelia is a great teacher; I’ll go with her to Level 3! Muchas gracias!
Quite intense, yet motivational and achievable. Proactive teaching, interactive and friendly.
Teachers are fantastic and possess a lot of enthusiasm. Overall, it´s great fun and I love coming back 🙂
