1. Definitions and Interpretations in these Conditions
The ‘Company’ shall mean Vamos or Vamos Language Teaching Limited. ‘The client’ refers to the person in whose name the booking is made and shall include the person or persons on whose behalf the booking is made. ‘Force Majeure’ shall mean any event outside the Company’s control which prevents the prompt performance of its obligations, including war and civil strife, etc.

The ‘Student’ shall mean the person who is participating in the course.

10-week courses – Comprise 20 hours of lessons, with one x two-hour lesson per week.
5-week courses – Comprise 20 hours of lessons, with one x two-hour lesson twice per week.
1-week courses – Comprise 20 hours of lessons, taught over one week, Monday to Friday.
Saturday ‘crash course’ – This course is 10 hours long and will cover two consecutive Saturdays.
Weekend ‘crash course’ – This course is 10 hours long and will take place over one weekend, 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Entry Requirements
Unless the course is referred specifically as either a GCSE or A level booster course, students are required to be 18 years and over and should complete an online level test to confirm their level.
Materials
The Company will supply teaching materials appropriate for the level and length of course, unless stated otherwise. Materials may consist of a course book (with or without a CD) and/or photocopied materials. Course materials are selected according to the level of each course.
Minimum Number of Students
We require a minimum number of students to be able run a group course; however in some of the more specialist courses the demand is more limited. We make every effort to run all of our courses as advertised, but we cannot guarantee courses that fail to meet the minimum student number will be able to run.
If that is the case then this is the process we will follow:
- If possible we will offer you a place in a different location. Or the solution may be to merge groups, which may also require a change of location.
- The course may still run (at the Company’s discretion), even if the minimum number of students is not met and in the case of our 10-week course, the course time is likely to be reduced to 8 weeks (as a smaller group will cover the course material in a shorter amount of time).
- If neither of the above options is practical then your course fee will be refunded back to you in full, including any credit card fees.
Maximum Number of Students
For quality reasons the maximum number of student places on a course is restricted to 12.
Public Holidays
In the unlikely event a course takes place during a public holiday, no lessons will take place on that day and the class will be rescheduled.
8. Course Fees
Course fees include VAT however there may be an additional charge for teaching materials unless otherwise stated.
9. Booking and Payment
No contract is made between the Company and the Client and no booking is valid until the Company has issued a confirmation invoice by e-mail, which will be issued on receipt of a completed booking form.
10. Booking Fees
If payment is made by credit card or non-UK debit card then an additional booking fee of 2.75% is required to cover the same cost which is charged to us by our bank.
In the event the Client wishes to cancel the course, the following terms will be met.
10-Week and 5-Week courses:
- More than 7 days before course start date: We can offer you a full refund of your course up to one week before the advertised start date, or you can reschedule to a later start date.
- Less than 7 days before course start date: You can transfer your booking to the next course at no extra charge, or you may have a refund of the course fee less a £50 administration fee.
- After the first or second lesson: You can transfer your booking to the next course at no extra charge and receive the full course duration OR you may have a refund of the course fee less a £50 administration fee.
- After the third lesson: You will not be entitled to any refund and you will not be able to transfer your booking to the next course.
- Claiming a refund: You must contact us at the time of cancellation, following the stages indicated above in order to claim any refund. We cannot offer any refunds once the third lesson has passed. Those who do not attend the rest of their course after the second lesson cannot claim for a refund at any later stage if they have not advised us of their cancellation at the time.
- Credit card fees are non-refundable.
1-week courses:

Weekend & Saturday Crash courses:
a) More than 7 days before course start date: We can offer you a full refund of your course up to one week before the advertised start date, or you can reschedule to a later start date.
b) Less than 7 days before course start date: You can transfer your booking to the next course at no extra charge OR you may have a refund of the course fee less a £30 administration fee.
c) Once the course has started or where cancellations are made on the start date, you will not be entitled to any refund and you will not be able to transfer your booking to the next course.
d) Claiming a refund: You must contact the Company at the time of cancellation, following the stages indicated above, in order to claim any refund. We cannot offer any refunds at all where cancellations are made on the start date or once the course has already started. Those who do not attend the rest of their course after the lessons have started cannot claim for a refund at any later stage if they have not advised us of their cancellation at the time.
f) Credit card fees are non-refundable.
Should the Company be unable to run the course, or make suitable alternative arrangements under the Minimum Number of Students policy, the Client will receive a full refund, including any credit card fees.
13. Liability of the Company
We accept responsibility for ensuring that all parts of the course are supplied as described and that all services shall reach reasonable standard unless failure or improper performance is attributable to:
a) the fault of the client.
b) the unforeseeable or unavoidable actions of an unconnected third party.
c) unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the Company’s control, including force majeure.
14. Alterations by the Client
If the Client wishes to change their booking in any way after the confirmation invoice has been issued, they must inform us immediately. For further information, please refer to your course type under the Cancellation & Refunds policy.

Where you provide personal information it will be used only for the service you requested.
Your information will only be captured and stored if you have submitted an online form requesting to download content or have requested further information.
